While in Florida for Speedweeks 2010 and the Daytona 500, Witnauer faced the ultimate challenge. Never one to decline a dare, she transformed into a daredevil on Superbowl Sunday! Witnauer donned a fire retardant racing suit and helmet, and strapped herself into the HANS device. Hands on the wheel, foot on the gas, shifting the five speed around the 31° banked turns of the 2.5 mile track, she pushed that stock car to speeds exceeding 141 mph! Way to go, Suzanne!! Interviewed immediately after the experience, Witnauer exclaimed, “Exhilarating - I want to do it again!!” |
